That movement is so touching...seems to convey a certain private admission of his own inner -- what? -- I want to say "fragility" because after all, we are all fragile underneath, but then it's hard to think of Hawkeye as fragile, exactly!!  But what I mean is, he's trusting himself emotionally to her with that gesture.  Does anybody else get what I mean??
