Sadly, the Fort no longer stands. You'd have to travel to NY's Lake George to see the real thing (well, a reconstruction on the original site). The North Carolina location is recouping its original, pristine look - though you can find the foundations, some rubble, AND some fantastic views of Mohican scenery from the site. Several other film locations are nearby, as well.
