: The hike of Chimney Rock is really not that tough once you get past the initial ascent (the "Stairs of Death" for those who have been to the park before - you know what I'm talking about!). There are some fantastic vistas and many sections of the trail and views are clearly identifiable from the movie. It's a wonderful place for nature lovers as well. We may get lucky and see some hawks swooping above or if you watch the trail, you may find some salamanders and skinks.
