I think you're right about Magua forceful exchange with the Sachem who also seems to slip a bit of Anglaise in there as well "pose le question since je suis enfant !".

What really amazes me is the speed with which Duncan instantly translates it . Maybe he made a bad career choice and should have been an interpreter back in Portman Square, but then who would have offered themselves to the Sachem in place of our beloved Cora !.

Perhaps it was all for the best
