: Who can tell me exactly what Magua mutters to Duncan to evoke his response of "What did you say ?!" (Magua says "understand the English very well"). I think there's a "ragoo" a "nunque" and a "katzala" in there somewhere but I would love to be able to rattle it off in a convincing manner !

Cak,
I'd advise cautious use of the word "prey" around here..... but glad you've been caught in the undertow.
Magua runnin around runnin around. Eh nunque, ke sata...............
Sort of. Seriously, you can find a sampling of Huron words on the Wyandott Nation Web site.
At the Huron village, when Magua is orating for the sachem, doesn't it sound like he's slipping in a bit of Anglaise? Like when he expresses his wishes to burn the dark haired daughter of Monro and calls her "the witch".... and again, when he's angry about the sachem's decision; I could swear I hear him say "I curse at you!" in the middle of his Francais/Huron harangue!
Where's Wes Studi when you really need him?
