First, let me say that I love the fact that, for once, Hollywood left something up to our imaginations...and my imagination is VERY good! I've watched that scene so many times that I feel I know what is happening at every second of the kiss, and in my mind, a ***LOT*** happens. Yes, Cora was brought up a lady, but the situation they find themselves in leads them to think they may not survive the attack on the fort. Rules and restrictions have a way of being discarded at moments like that.

But isn't it wonderful that for that particular moment in the film, we each get to be the writer/director, and determine in our own minds precisely what is happening? I love it! Or as my husband asks each time he sees me sighing through that part of the movie, "Exactly what DID you see?"
