Thanks to Bill giving me a name I have found a site which has several books on patterns and construction techniques, and information on styles for period clothing. I am linking it below (I hope!). I am always one to believe the more info the better. There are several places have been mentioned, that are good places to purchase supplies as well as patterns. Thanks to all who replied.
P.S. It sure seems like everyone froze in the winter and sweltered in the summer!
