I too love Chimney Rock and would recommend it to anyone as long as you can climb 500+ steps and aren't afraid of heights. I keep a season's pass and it is absolutely gorgeous all year round.
I haven't seen "The Journey of August King" yet but did know they were filming at Table Rock (closing scene of LOTM) because I went up there to go hiking and the trails were off-limits!
