Bill,
I really am trying to be serious today, but every time I think I've got it down, BAM!... I read these posts and I lose it!
Okay, are you asking what provisions we will provisionally provide? Let's see, plastic pants... I called the local K-Mart and WalMart
and inquired how much stock they normally keep. They were really very helpful, Bill. Both stores agreed to stock up on Depends, Baby Wipes, Napkins, vitamins, prune juice, Ensure, soft fruit, Dentu-Creme, seltzer, Pepto, Tums, Nyquil, Z-Z-Z- Sleeping Aids, disposable/pre-focused cameras, and other geriatric sundries. The way I figure it, the old folks will be plumb worn out after driving their motorized wheel chairs like bats out of Hades, so..... us candy stripers will organize an old folks' run. We'll do the shopping, meal planning, gift store purchasing, medication administration, and so forth.
As to custom ordered loin cloths, well.......... I used to do a bit of quill work, but I think it would be therapeutic for Miss Marcia, Mary, Kathy, Chris, and all the other elderly women. Perhaps we could arrange a "craft day" for the ladies, and let them feel useful. Forest Green? Maybe.
As for accommodations; Miss Marcia volunteered to gather information. Some of you folks will need to pick roommates, so think about that carefully. There will be house rules to follow, of course. I believe the place of choice is "Miss Ellie's Old Folks' Home" (they're not PC down here!).
Okay, Bill, does that answer all your questions? Now, remember that you've asked this already. Don't go repeating yourself, ok?
Have a really, really, really, nice day!
Elaine
