In Russell Means' book "Where White Men Fear to Tread", there is a passage on page 515 where he talks about Eric Schweig. Russell Means says, Eric Schweig is a Canadian Inuit who was adopted by a white family as an infant and ran away at age sixteen because of abuse, and that - while shooting TLOTM - he (Russell Means) held an Indian adoption ceremony to adopt Eric as his son.
