I really hope it gets re-released some day. It's just not the same on the small screen. In the theater, you could feel the cannon firing in every bone in your body. The roar of the waterfall was deafening. I can't remember if it was shot in Cinemascope, but Mann used the entire screen. I just fininshed watching it on a tiny portable tv, and its power still came through and reduced me to tears. In the theater, it was overwhelming, almost a religious experience. Maybe in 20 years there will be a restored version. Except I don't want to wait that long!
