Hi, I've never posted here before, though I've been aware of this awesome place for quite awhile. (Hi Marcia!!) Anyway, all this talk about seeing LOTM in the theatres made me remember my experience the first time I'd seen it. I'm thirteen now, and I was eight when the movie came out. I remember it being the first R-rated movie I'd seen in the theatres. I went with two of my aunts. I don't remember much, except a vague memory of waterfalls and my aunts telling me to close my eyes when Col. Munro was getting his heart cut out. I didn't see LOTM again until June 97 and I really loved it, obviously. Maybe my first experience wasn't as lyrical as some of yours was :) but I just thought I'd share it.
