For those of you who are interested in a sequel, there is an interesting book by Paul Block called Song of the Mohicans which is written as a sequel to Cooper's book. With a little effort and imagination, you can make it into a sequel to the movie. I've thought of trying to adapt it to a screenplay, but I agree with those who think any sequel to the movie would be tampering with perfection. If anyone's read the book, I'd be interested in your opinion.
