I donno, folks...I'm afraid the illusion of happily ever after would be burst. I guess I should have more faith in Hollywood--after all they wouldn't show what it was REALLY like for Cora after she spent a few years with Hawkeye. Maybe I am a disgruntled old lady but this is how I picture it: Cora, alone, in a backwoods cabin with 6 or 7 children hacking a living out of the wilderness with her own two hands while Hawkeye is off hunting, trapping etc. generally running around and putting those addidas moccasins to good use. Do you all think he would really settle down to a life of farming? (My kids had a day off from school today. Can we all say "mommy needs a drink"?)
