Hawkeye subtle?

THANK YOU, Rich and Elaine, for staying so in touch with the dynamic dialogue going on on the BB!
No sooner had I posted my response to Marcia and Joy about the "subtle/sudden" controversy, than I discovered that part of the original script linked-to on your front page!

Interesting how the film diverges from the script. What a different film it would have been, had they stuck to the script! Many more heavy-handed political and philosophical statements. I like it better the way it turned out.

Does anyone out there have closed-captioning, so we might find out if H. says "subtle" or "sudden"????
