Such as "Raindrops" in BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID. But in LOTM, the sound editor chose a more instrumental version of the song, just check out the CLAANAD CD. Also, what's different about LOTM is that DDL says "I will find you", but I don't recall hearing Paul Newman say something about Raindrops on his head, in fact, during that sequence it's sunny while they're bicycling along to that tune.

And a good thought it IS, Heather, IMHO! You are right that we aren't talking a non-sequitur sort of song like "Raindrops" in Butch Cassidy..."I Will Find You" seems to have been chosen because of its lovely Celtic sound and its lyric significance.
It underscores exactly what our three intrepid heroes are doing at the moment, doesn't it? No matter how long, no matter how far! And for me, the haunting sound of Clannad couldn't be a more perfect choice.
