Go to the above link to look at syosset Fords Sales staff, scroll down and click on Arthurs name for a picture or Big Arhtur...he's come along way from Euclid Street and the Big Afro with wire rimmed glasses when he was hanging out with us behind central and playing in FTW !
Happy Birthday Arhtur are you up for an FTW reunion concert yet? I wanna do one before I die, which would probably coincide with the show! How about it Doc? Except Arthur will be on Bass, you on guitar to replace Jeff Zohler, and we could fly Ben in from LA to play 2nd guitar to replace Dink,Mike Stanko could play drums and I could do what I do best and make a spectacle out of my self with a microphone and annoy people until they get whipped up in to a frenzy and want to kill and break things...namely me!

Richie Screw the guitars I'm borrowing you, and drafting you in to the band it was always more fun to break you than any guitar ! and at least in this way you won't have to supply the get-a-way car ! Your poor Moms Caddy, what we use to put that car through?! Playing in the Band with Bean
Some folks trust to reason others trust to might, I don't trust to nothin', but I know it comes out right. Say it once again now, Whoa, I hope you'll understand When it's done and over, Lord, a man is just a man. Playin', playin' in the band. Daybreak, daybreak on the land. Some folks look for answers others look for fights, Some folks up in treetops just a looking for their kites. Whoa, I can tell your future just look what's in your hand, But I can't stop for nothin' I'm just playing in the band. Playin', playin' in the band. Daybreak, daybreak on the land. Standin' on a tower world at my command You just keep a turnin' while I'm playing in the band. And if a man among you got no sin upon his hand Let him cast a stone at me for playing in the band. Playin', playin' in the band. Daybreak, daybreak on the land.

It's that dang "datepicker" thing in your profile. It's not very user friendly. If you notice, at the bottom of the board's main page, is an Events Calender ... over toward the right, it lists birthdays [if your birthday is within 30 days, and if you have posted within that same time frame]. It's showing your's as having just past. Oh well, if you, or anyone, want to fix that in your profile, log-in & click on your profile link [up in the upper right]. Click on the "datepicker." A pop-up will appear. Choose your birthdate's month & year. Click "GO." Now, click on the day of the month. The window will disappear, but you're not done, yet!!! Click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of your profile. NOW you're done ...
Hey, Happy Birthday, anyway!

Arthur It will be the big 50 for me too in August, but I swear I still almost look the same...I wish I could get a current picture of me on here, I'm working on it... btw...glad to see more former Sobro Avenuer's on the page, Ricky and Johnnie Ertz from Georgia... Speak of Johnnie's, where and how is your cousin Johnnie doing Richie? Bean..and Richie I assume you mean broke as in $$$ with 10 Kids it's no wonder ! I don't know how you and your wife do it. Well I know how you do it, but you know what I mean, btw what are your oldest kids doing? Any of them in to music or bands? God For Bid, and God Help us ! |

- My cousin, John, died in 1977. I'll post a bit about him in the "Dearly Departed" forum later today or tomorrow morning.
- No, I meant broke as in "bones" [the money thing goes without saying! ] ... Sometimes, I feel like I'm 90!!
- My 3 oldest are boys: Jesse [22] is married. Adam [20] & Chris [17] both still live home, go to school & work fulltime. They're all into music [listening, not playing] and, weird, tend toward music of our day rather than the newer stuff. Does me heart good!

Richie, Sorry to hear about your cousin Johnnie, tell the details of what happened when you get a chance. and as for your feeling old...now that's hard to believe? but I guess 10 kids would take it's toll on any one, hey it could be worse you could have had a kid that was like one of us or even worse me !!! Imagine if my parents had 10 kids like me !!! Somehow I still think you have all the energy stored up somewhere that you use to have, I know I do...just no place to use it any more so I'm like a time bomb!
About your kids liking the old music, even a a lot of these new younger noisey garage bands have fessed up to being influenced by retro bands...there a new very young Austrailian Band out now called the Datsuns that are really influenced by bands like Led, Zep, Mountain, Deep Purple, Grand Funk and even the Kinks...on their debut MTV video one of them is wearing an old kinks tshirt...and then there's all the indie bands like especially WILCO who are influenced by bands like The Kinks and the Dead having come from the alt. country band Uncle Tupelo... What goes around comes around...and The Beatles, especially the Lennon and Harrisson stuff my favorites will always be a major influence on music and pop culture...isn't today Georges birthday btw?
love ya Your Bean
