Earlier today I was listening to The Great Lost KinKs album but the bootleg version with all the extra songs on it too. It makes you realize that the period in the late 60's to the early 70's, from around " Face to Face " up to and including " Arthur " and maybe evem Lola vs Powerman and Muswell Hillbillies too ( and after still but not as concentrated ) and to a slightly lesser extent, Ray was beyond a genius. It's absolutely sick the amount of song writing talent that was pouring out of his veins and pores for those 4 or 5 years...if he were a baseball player it would be the equivalent of him hitting 100+ home runs in a season, or if a painter then him painting Picasso's " Boy with a Pipe " or " Dora Maar au Chat " back to back. In other word's is just beyond comprehension.

Richie..
Man it seems like yesterday we were hanging out in your room listening to Face to Face, Something Else, The Village Green Preservation Society, & Arthur on that little record player you had up there, and when your Mom was out using her big console stereo in the living room was such a treat. I think the very first time I heard The Village Green Preservation Society album and the first Led Zeppelin album was in your Mothers living room on that console stereo. I remember it had such a great bass boom and kick to it!!!
Those were the days my freind...
