This just in from the Yahoo Uncle Floyd Show group:
"It is the sad duty of this korrespondant to report that C. M. (Mugsy)
Calam has departed the mortal plane of existance at 11:35 PM EDT this date (10-24-2005) while surrounded by friends, fellow cast members and
extended showbiz family at his bedside. He was thanked by all for the
laughs and music he gifted us with throughout his lifetime. He was
given a standing ovation, bid a fond and loving good night. He then
passed peacefully about 25 minutes later.

If at all possible, we will continue this club in his memory."

I see by a notice in the latest Alumni Crier that Marjorie Amberman has died. She was my tenth grade English teacher at Central, and though not my favorite, she was a sweetheart who really cared about her students and her job.
Central had a very fine staff while I was there, and from what I hear is still a really good high school. In those days teachers were not very well paid, and people like Miss Amberman were really dedicated. God Bless her. She was 92.
