I just heard from Ben Daidone that his father passed away a few days ago on February 28th. Having gone through the same thing myself only 3 years ago I know how he feels. Let the memories keep you going on.
It's all we can do,
"To the fields we are scattered
From the day we are born
To grow wild and sleep rough
Till from the earth we are torn
And a soul that is free
Can live on eternally
And the spirit can live on
Though it's scattered in the world beyond " ..Ray Davies

Sorry to hear the news Ben...
Any one caring to email Ben with condolences here's his emaill address; airman23@earthlink.net

Below is the note Ben sent out with the news about his father;

Dear Friends,

On February 28th, 2004, my father Benjamin A. Daidone passed away. He was a man who was respected and loved by many. My father touched many people with his strength, compassion and insight. He was a man who lived for his family.
I was so proud to hear so many warm sentiments from the people that attended his wake. I am so very proud to be his son.
He received a military funeral for his service to our country during World War II.
The last years of his life were spent missing my mother very much. He has now joined her.
I am devastated by the loss of this wonderful man. Thank God for the support of my family and my friends.
In his honor, I continue on and raise his grandchildren guided by his love and devotion.

Ben
