Richie,
Remember the time you came up to the catskills with me and my parents?
Didn;t some pretty werid things happen ? Like the Frog Story which to this day I swear didn't happen but it did didn't it? An what about the toothbrush story, did I really do that? and the girl we met up there Louise Culcasey I think her name was right...?

" You're a misfit
Afraid of yourself so you run away and hide
You've been a misfit all your life
But why don't you join the crowd and come inside
You wander round this town
Like you've lost your way
You had your chance in your day
Yet you threw it all away
Now you're lost in the crowd
Yet, still go your own way "
--Ray Davies

" They'll move me up to Muswell Hill tomorrow,
Photographs and souvenirs are all I've got,
They're gonna try and make me change my way of living,
But they'll never make me something that I'm not.

They're putting us in little boxes,
No character just uniformity,
They're trying to build a computerised community,
But they'll never make a zombie out of me. "
--Ray Davies

" The days go by and you wish you were a different guy,
Different friends and a new set of clothes.
You make alterations and affect a new pose,
A new house, a new car, a new job, a new nose.
But it's superficial and it's only skin deep,
Because the voices in your head keep shouting in your sleep.
Get back, get back. "
--Ray Davies

" I've just had a dream that I never will forget.
And I wish I could erase.
I was standing on the street with a whole crowd of people
And no one knew my name.
And I was just another face
No one looked at me or touched me
Spoke to or acknowledged me.
I had no identity or individuality
No thoughts of my own, no mind or personality.
I was just a no one, a total nonentity "
-- Ray Davies

Hey Richie the tooth brush was because I had to get even with you for the weird frog thing that occured... Who told us that myth, was it my father or Uncle Tommy who told us earlier in the day when were eating breakfast and then it hapenned. We couldn't make this up if we tried !
Bean

Every Little Breeze seemed to whisper Louise, she was a real cutie though wasn't she? Remember some of the girls we picked up hitchhiking on Long Beach Road, like Tara and the other nut job whosename I can't think of?

I think it was your father. I don't recall your Uncle Tommy ...

From the late, great BabyFats ... in my yearbook:

I heard you caught a frog one morn,
And pissed in your bed at the crack of dawn!
We all know that you are gay,
Judy [that'd be Grassi] is just an excuseeee!

Yes, she sure was!!!!

Now, the other nut job - Tara's friend - who we picked up hitchhiking, was named, Maria - or so she said! I was madly in love with her. I still get goosebumps thinking of her! Why'd ya go and have to remind me?!? Don't even have her picture ... just remember she was quite weird - a petite little blonde with a lovely face - and weird. Did I mention that?

Hey Richie,
This past Saturday night almost went back to the scene of the crime in the Catskills...we went to see Pattie Smith do a concert in the Town of Hudson, NY just 5 miles from Cairo where the resort you and me stayed at with my parents that one summer...had it not been a miserable rainy day/night Andrea and me were going to go there to see what had changed...I'm pretty sure the same resort is still there, I have only been back there once after you and me stayed there...what year was that ? 68 or 69 ? - Bean

I'm pretty sure that was '69, Bean. I think I was 17.

We had a great time there. I passed by there maybe 15 years or so ago while on a family vacation. It looked as I remembered it, pretty much, and brought back a flood [no pun intended!!!] of memories.

Richie,
I know there are pictures from that episode, I think you have them right? There's one where I am wearing these white pants with brown patches on them sort of like a Cow, and I think we were both wearing our hippie love beads...and we thought we were so cool...please tell me we were !
