Doc informed that John Urgo was hostinghis own birthday party tonight in Valley Stream, at the VFW Hall on Merrick Rd, just East of Rockaway Ave...had I known I would have stopped by since I just got back from Valley Stream for my mothers 90th birthday party at King Umberto's in Elmont...Bean
I go all the way back to 1st grade and kindergarden with Urgo at the Washington Ave school, ( Before moving up to Shaw Ave ) I think it was Miss Krumholtz and Miss Fenity who were our teachers...

I loved Miss Fenity. I mean, I really loved that woman!!! Had her in first grade, too, Bean -
Humeston ... Mrs. Humeston was the kindergarten teacher at Washington Avenue. Mine, anyways.
BTW, yesterday was Cottonmouth's B-Day, as well. Are you 50 yet, Louie? |

OK than who was Miss Krumholtz, was she at Shaw Ave? I had Ms Perry in 2nd grasde at Shaw, Krumholtz might have been 4th grade, 3rd grade ? was something like Miss Pumpernickle or something close to that effect...5th was my Favorite Miss Harris whi I saw in the early 90's and was still at Shaw under her Married name now...6th grade was the Egyptpian ressurected Miss Roche' who swore she was and Egyptian queen in her past life? Mine too. I always thought it was Ms. Hummerstein. You learn something new every day!

East Side... I think you are right there was a Miss Hummerstein and not Pumpernickle although my 3rd grade teacher was Miss Poppy, maybe that's where I got it from. - Bean
