I took a trip back to Long Island today during the middle of the day, yes after driving all the way back home from work to New Jersey, I drove all the way back to Long Island...saw my Mom with Andrea and bought her lunch back from Pete's Clam House on Long Beach Road...but I also stopped in to Syosett Ford and surprised Big Arthur !!! Arthur looked great and although I have been speaking to him on email and once or twice on the phone since this web site started I have not seen Arhtur in the Flesh since probably 1972 or 73 some time...so we talked about old times and new times too for a while, he showed my family pictures...and we talked cars and trucks too since I am soon to be in the market for a new car or truck to commute in. It's too bad we all didn't get together last week when Jeffery was here...well maybe next year at our BIG REUNION....and what hapenned to Louie ?

Yes, Beanato, I miss Signor Dolci on here too.

I am in Rome. How sad, only one more week here and then back to the States. Hey Francesco, I had a dream the other night about you. You were playing the computer keyboard like a guitar!

Hey Elena...hope you are enjoying yourself in Rome, I wish I was there right now sharing a good authentic Italian meal with you...btw how is the food there..I've heard different opinions on that and I love Italian food of all sorts but it has to be good !!!

I do sort of turn the computer keyboard in to a guitar don't I,? Now if I can only figure out and learn to play the real guitar, that has been a sore spot for me for years, I try and try but all I can do is imitate Pete Townshend smashing it in to little pieces...

Beanito Franceso ... Exactly what do you mean by, "in the flesh"? My devilish mind is conjuring up all sorts of graphic, but not so pretty, images ...

Dear Elena ... I, too, wish I were there. I really do! Tell us more about Italy ... the sights, the sounds, the tastes, the smells. Share her beauty. And, if you would, get me a literal translation of this:

fonguladamomidamachingadagots!
- that's phonetic, of course! Funny, my spell checker came up with "No Suggestions"!

Ciao Amici! Yes, I absolutely love Italy! I wish you were here too! Someday, if we move here, you will have a place to stay. I have been looking for jobs while I'm here. Sandro has lived in the US for twenty years. His mother is not in very good health, and he would like to be around to help. And who am I to complain about moving here?

Little Bean - I have never ever had a bad meal here! Every friggin' dish is amazing - from the ice cream (sometimes served with real whipped cream!) to warm fresh ricotta-filled pastry to the cheese lasagna with paper-thin noodles. I weep with joy everytime I eat. The pizza is fantastic too. You pay for a slice by weight. There is potato pizza which sounds weird until you bite into it. Wines are so good. When i taste certain ones, I swear, it creates a feeling of being in Italy hundreds of years ago. There are an abundance of bookstores. The fragrant smell of jasmine is everywhere. Lots of mopeds and motorcycles along with cars- mostly small cars of course- and people do not drive in separate lanes, but flow together- you would think there would be accidents all over the place - there are, of course - but it's what you are used to. That is a little nerve-wracking to me, but when i don't pay attention to the possibility of getting hit, it's fine. I have not driven yet, only as a passenger. You can reach out and touch the driver and hand them a cappuccino. We have been driving and walking through neighborhoods where the tourists do not go, and get a good feel for the way Romans live. Many people still have siesta - stores are open from 9 - 1:00, then close, and reopen from 4 - 8:00 pm. Dinner is late, anywhere from 8:00 - 10:00 pm. I like this way, it feels like the day is longer. You can hear people talking way into the night - music, laughing, yelling. There are rainbow-colored banners with the word PACE (pronounced pa - chay) which means PEACE. People display them from their windows.

Ricardo - I know fongula, learned in Brooklyn, I think that it was the first word i learned! I will turn the rest over to Sandro and let you know!

Lots of Love, Elena

That would mean one of two things when Richie would say that, either he was really mad at me for doing something totally insane or off the wall or a really good looking girl with BIG Knockers was in our vicinity, in which case he would also stick his fingers in his mouth and stretch his mouth out from side to side for that one and only Classic Federici Face....Ronnie was pretty good at that too, and I have some pictures for proof! ...right Richie? !!! and if you have any pictures of you and or Ronnie making that face post them here !!!

and btw Richie thanks for having so much faith in me for imagining me and Arhtur doing nasty things in the Flesh...! You're still the same pervert I use to know and love..!!!...and I still am too !

Richie,
I definitely have a picture of you and Ronnie making that famous face, it is a really old one taken in front of Foch's house I would say in the mid to late 60's sometime, I also may have a later day one of just you. Maybe you could take a current one of you making that face...
and speaking of pictures do you have the one of me and I think you and Foch, maybe Vince too when we went to Nathans in Long Beach with the Noose and we took pictures in the photo booth with the noose around my neck, I think I was going through my Alice Cooper Killer phase?

and Elena did I render you speechless with my Naked reference ? I have a soft spot or should I say sweet spot for Italian deserts especially Canoli's and Italian Cheesecake made with ricotta...Italian Cookies too !

I got back yesterday to Los Angeles at noon. I flew in from Dusseldorf Airport, - a suitcase was left unattended in the area I had to check in, so the police cordoned off the area. People did not have to leave the airport, we could still stay inside. There was a little bar that served coffee, pastries and sandwiches, and the police tape was right up next to it, but there we were, having breakfast, while about 100 feet away they were checking the contents of the suitcase. Didn't find anything, and the plane left only thirty minutes late. On Wednesday, I had flown from Rome to Cologne and spent a few hours there. I walked on the pedestrian path on the bridge over the Rhine to the old part of the city to visit the Cologne Cathedral which blew me away it is so magnificent! Next to it was the Museum Ludwig, and I decided to go in, and there was a room full of little drawings and paintings by one of my favorite artists Paul Klee! There were also paintings by the German Expressionists whom I also love. Art is so much an important part of the lives of Europeans. It is everywhere!
From Cologne, I took the train to Dusseldorf and from the train station there to the airport there is a monorail which they call the Sky Train which takes you right into the airport, and I stayed overnight in the hotel - next morning just walked across to the building to catch my flight.

Sandro is in Rome until August. I have to go back to work tomorrow, and I am not in the mood.

Elena,
I know that feeling, I just got back to work after along 3 day weekend up in Rhode Island, what a bummer being back at work !
I saw a Great show though at the Mohigan Sun Casino, Neil Young and Crazy Horse with Lucinda Williams opening for him. Lucinda was incredible as usual, and Neil show cased his new Concept album which was really good, sort of like the Kinks Preservation, theatre mixed with rock n roll ! Bean

This must expalin it then;
" In his dreams he's taken away by alien beings to another
galaxy, deep in space. To a planet where a man can live
out his fantasies, and experience unimaginable pleasures.
But morning comes and soon the realities of life will
shatter his illusions, and the clichés of the world will
bring him down. But still he's waiting for a change.

Days drift into days,
His life just slips away.
Everything is passé,
Everything's a cliché.
Yes it is

See the sunlight over the motorway,
The little man, with anger in his eyes,
Stands
by the window, looks at the sky. " ..Raymond Douglas Davies

However, I think that a minor adjustment in your medication would be all that's needed.

Lou,
I don't know about Elena but as for me I would definitely stand to gain by the use of Prozac, Zoloft, or effexor, or one of those anti-deprseeant drugs,...I am constantly fighting the war in my head and my bi-polar, manic depressive syndrome...
