When Arthur Lee passed away onAugust 4th it was a very sad Day for pop culture, the arts & music world of rock & roll...
As the Love song itself goes " Love is more than words " ( at least that's what they say ) and Arthur you did set the Scene...
Forever Changes..( and I for one will miss you. )

( Love at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC a few years ago ranks up there as one of the best shows I have ever seen ) Arhur was and has always been brilliant. I have also sen Love once or twice back i their hey day at the Filmore east, also brilliant and amazing shows. They never got the credit or regonitiion they deserved.

Forever Changes may be the one work that Arhtur is best known for but he has many other pieces of work and music that are amazing as well all of which I own plus even the Arthur Lee Solo record Vindicator fromthe early 70's.

The benefit show in NYC a few weeks ago had a promising message that Arthur's condition was stabalizing and that he expected to be back on stage playing again soon so this recent news was pretty surprising and sad to say the least. Robert Plant who admittingly says that Arthur and Loves music was one of his biggest influences when he was growing up did an amzaing set that night mixed up of Love songs and old Zeppelin stuff too. Ian, Hunter, Ryan Adams, Yo le Tengo, Garland Jefferies were among some of the others paying tribute to Arthur Lee that night and tring to raise money for his medical treatment.
