Here is the email I received a little while ago?
Mr. David Watts
Please click on the link to hear my band of a few years ago "Battery" playing live in Columbus Ohio.
I'm playing Fender Rhodes through a Marshall Stack and singing.
We were loud, obnoxious and totally irreverent following many of the influences you sited. We were Semi-Glam and all man.

Unfortunately Mr. Tony Blow the lead guitarist burned himself to a cinder after arguing with our female bass player about his drinking over the phone.
Hie last words were "I'm just going to finish this cigarette and take a nap."
I know you are looking for guitar but maybe a keyboard player would fit the bill.
My band in high school started a riot once because we had a guy with an electric cello in the band. Tony Blow was always pissed drunk when he played. I had to rescue Tony and Peggy our lead singer from a motorcylce gang once at the Ohio State fair and we got shot at in a bar once.
It was great life even if we never did capture the limelife but since Tony died it has been over.
Think it over and if you want to hear anymore or meet me I live in New Jersey right by the Lincoln Tunnel.
I have no commitments right now and can start touring right away,.
Cheers and Best Regards Langston Henry

Posted - March 19 2004 : 3:49:50 PM I guess that explains me; My ears are shot from our band days and going to shows.... " I know it's only rock n roll but I still love it "
The Courtney Love show last night at the small Bowery Ballroom was absolutely wild...just like out Iggy Show, short loud, and totally out of control ! People and equipment were flying through the air.... My one time seeing Nirvanna was pretty much the same type of event...
Beanie is a Punk Rocker now... Rocks n' Beans

Little Feat Beanie and the Juniors...WHO?
Lou me thinks you are showing your age, please we are not growing old, well at least I'm not ! " I'm gonna beat the odds and stay forever youn " - Ron Mael - Sparks
as for me my choice of great rock n roll names would have been Lance Loud...remember him from the band the Louds and the TV show The American Family, the first real reality TV show around 1970/71 ! |

Posted - March 18 2004 : 12:16:45 PM Tony 'Blow'? What a great name! On the other hand 'Langston Henry' sounds like his name is either backwards [Henry Langston] or he should be a poet from the deep South writing about how the fragrance of Juniper is really a metaphor for the deepest mysteries of life...Tell him to get a real job...Rock n' Roll is played out...Its dead!...LONG LIVE THE SPONGEMONKEYS!!!!! http://www.rathergood.com/moon_song/ |
