Posted - February 17 2003 : 10:03:08 AM Karen it change my life forever too... despite all the fights and smashing of equipment and people one of the scariest parts of the night was Pattie Childs rememeber her ? trying to strip me dowm more naked than I already was and rub the oily pleanut butter all over my body including the part I really did not want her to touch...Hey It's Only Rock n Roll but I love it. Thanks for the input Karen, I know you can tell the story of what hapneend that night probably better than anyone...I wish you could talk Michael in to reviving FTW with me...I promise he won't get hurt !
Frank aka Iggy the Second as mentioned in Circus Magazine |

Posted - February 17 2003 : 09:36:06 AM Yes, I well remember the night at Holy Name of Mary. I was there for Revolution, in awe of Barry Sallows as the closest thing to a Beatle in Valley Stream, as well as Kevin Shaw, Rob Oswald, and probably a Guinduso twin on drums. (In fact, I'm sure not many of you even remember their precurser band "The Chosen Few" when they (and I) were still students at Holy Name.)
HOWEVER...that night changed my life forever! I remember Father Lynch on stage grappling with Frank in his drunkenness for the microphone. I remember the tossing of the mike stand. My whole life changed as I embraced what REALLY felt like rock 'n roll. While I was enthralled by the performance on stage, Joanne Scoma was mesmerized by Jerry Pennolino, acting roadie-ish with his long, beautiful hair hanging to his waist. I soon after had "FTW" embroidered on my jeans and Scoma and I faced a new chapter with Jerry and Arthur.
And don't forget FTW at the Green for a battle of the bands...if not only for Frank, but also for Arthur wearing his mother's fur coat!

Posted - February 16 2003 : 6:44:35 PM Oh yeah? Well I don't still have my Beatle Bass - from the Dust & Finger days - anymore. It got smashed into more than a few pieces that night! |

Posted - February 16 2003 : 2:18:33 PM I recall throwing a peanutbetter soaked Frank into the back of a day glo' painted '63 Dodge Dart convertable for protection, while at the same time fending off a group of large mean spirited black leather jacketed fellows. I also recall questioning..."What the h.... was that all about." Ben Daidone's guitar solo sounded really exceptional until someone tossed a microphone stand and a chair at his amp. |
