(Mugsy) Calam has departed the mortal plane of existance at 11:35 PM EDT this date (10-24-2005) while surrounded by friends, fellow cast members and extended showbiz family at his bedside. Posted - November 16 2005 : 9:31:06 PM I see by a notice in the latest Alumni Crier that Marjorie Amberman has died. She was my tenth grade English teacher at Central, and though not my favorite, she was a sweetheart who really cared about her students and her job. Central had a very fine staff while I was there, and from what I hear is still a really good high school. In those days teachers were not very well paid, and people like Miss Amberman were really dedicated. God Bless her. She was 92. |
