Posted - May 04 2003 : 10:51:04 AM So, Elena ... I take it, from what Bean said up above, that you are still in contact with Joan? Yes, get her to say "hello" here! Give her my very best regards!
And, Carla, what about her? Any more recent info than what Foch posted?

Posted - April 08 2003 : 5:07:51 PM Hello Elena, No I am not writing to myself right now!
Yeah, it's just us two here in the states with this very lovely name. I know people in Italy with the same name. And of course it's pronounced just the way you pronounce yours!
Great shot of Eddie Abramowitz. Now there's an afro - one of the most beautiful. Should there be a contest on best hair? For the women, there would be a category on straightest part in the middle. Now parts are zig-zag. That's what I like, Ready-mades! No work involved. When I wake up in the morning, it's ready to go. I am doing great! I hope you are too! I will tell my cousin Mike that you asked about him. Will you come to the reunion in 2004? I hope so. I will email you.

" I'll sing a song about some people you might know They made front pages in the news not long ago But now they're just part of a crowd And I wonder where they all are now.
Where have all the Swinging Londoners gone? Ossie Clark and Mary Quant And what of Christine Keeler, John Stephen and Alvaro, Where on earth did they all go? Mr. Fish and Mr. Chow, Yeah, I wonder where they all are now.
Where are all the Teddy Boys now? Where are all the Teddy Boys now? The Brill Cream boys with D.A.s, Drainpipes and blue suedes, Beatniks with long pullovers on, And coffee bars and Ban the Bomb, Yeah, where have all the Teddy Boys gone? I hope that Arthur Seaton is alright. I hope that Charlie Bubbles had a very pleasant flight, And Jimmy Porter's learned to laugh and smile, And Joe Lampton's learned to live a life of style.
Where are all the angry young men now? Where are all the angry young men now? Barstow and Osborne, Waterhouse and Sillitoe, Where on earth did they all go? And where are all the protest songs? Yes, where have all the angry young men gone.
I wonder what became of all the Rockers and the Mods. I hope they are making it and they've all got stead jobs, Oh but rock and roll still lives on, Yeah, rock and roll still lives on. "...Ray Davies

Posted - April 06 2003 : 10:59:00 AM Yeah Elena I feel the same way when I look at old photo's of all of us at the green or behind central, it's almost like you can taste the flavor and mood of the moment... and get your cousin Mike on here, I tried emailing him but we haven't talked much since before the holidays, I was supposed to go to his house for a Christmas party but couldn't make it... speaking of hair..he had great long hair back in the days, and it still looks good today if he would let it grow back out..mine is almost as long as the pictures Richie put on here with Finger and the one holding the guitar over his sister head...now if I had Tommy Libers hair back then you really would have thought I looked like Robert Plant right? No one else has ever made that reference before and I get alot of them to different rock stars, one of the strangest was while in London last November as soon as I stepped off a tour bus in London, a bunch of kids wanted to know if I was Rod Stewart or Marc Bolan, I told them I hope Rod Stewart since Marc is long Dead... Posted - April 05 2003 : 11:05:32 PM I saw this photo when I got into work this morning!! I started to cry, this is so cool! I said to myself, wow do I look young, of course you idiot, YOU WERE YOUNG! Patrice Murphy was still living in Kansas as of about three or four years ago, when I last spoke with Joan Monica. They were keeping in touch with each other. Joan was at my mother's funeral November, 2000. Patrice and I had both gone to Kansas University in Manhattan, KS in the late seventies. I left there and moved to Lawrence, KS. for a few years. William Burroughs lived there until his death. I followed him in a grocery store once, he wore a long camel-hair coat and Earth shoes- I myself had several different pairs of those shoes - and I also went to a reading of his. After his show, some of us got to talk with him. He was very sweet and friendly.
Elena Rovello --- the photos you posted are so wonderful. I love looking at them. I can almost feel what the weather felt like and the mood of the place and how we all were lucky to go to a school that had this huge green park for a backyard with great big trees and a huge lake. Tommy Lieber had such beautiful hair!! Man, I still love it when guys have their hair long! |

Posted - March 11 2003 : 01:39:17 AM I think that the red-haired girl that hung out with Holly Neuschafer was Ann Maloney, sister of Bob Maloney. |

Posted - February 23 2003 : 12:57:24 PM Hey is that you Big Arthur? Kat...Kevin Sullivan that sounds familiar? Did he graduate Central in 71? Probably not if he is 4 years older, Maybe Richie knows him. I'll have to check the year book. If you graduated in 73 than you know Marc Facci Neils brother and Ronnie Federici right ? I still don't think that was the same Holly, as for the girl with Red Hair, that sounds familar too.
Was it John Lennon who said if you remember the 60's you probably weren't there, I guess the same holds true for the early 70's too... Bean, Dazed and Confused as Usual.

That's Holly who was with Pete right? Or was that Holly Nueschaffer? Damn, the memory's the first to go right? I was with Pete's Holly the night she got her first tatoo. It was "Pete's Tattoo"? across the street from Belmont park in Elmont. A very tasteful band of flowers around her ankle.
I have seen Holly a few times she is married to Tom Nelson and they have 3 children and live in North Bellmore.... As far as Peter goes he was my Best Man at my wedding and I see him all the time he has 4 children and has a house in Lybrook. He works with Hollys husband Tommy at Rolling Thunder in Hempstead! |

I went to Central, graduated in 73, maiden name Sullivan. I don't think I knew you. I was a chubby band geek. Till I discovered life behind Central at the lake, David Bowie, and the green. Check out my web page www.KatRadio9.com. I went to Hofstra for music, left school, married Rick, and then went back for a degree in Broadcasting. And yes, you figured it out, I married Rick because I wanted to be just like Lucy. And I'd rather Junior plays guitar like his dad. Rick is now a puter guy, or Mr. Computerhead like I refer to him on my show. Maybe you knew my brother. Kevin. He was 4 years older, a lifeguard at the pool, and a hell raiser. I remember Debbie DiJacamo from religious instruction at Blessed Sacrement, and Memorial. But getting back to Holly, she was thin, with long straight blonde hair. I don't know how long she and Pete were together, but I used to ride with them and the Nelsons, and Arthur. But that was after Central. Oh, and Holly had a red haired girlfriend, damn, she had an unusual name. Ginger? hmmm.

Posted - February 22 2003 : 03:30:41 AM Hey Kat... I don't think that was Pete's Holly ? Although I know about Pete's Tatoo parlour across from Belmont Park... Do you remember Pete's High School Girl Friend for a while Debbie DiGaccamo...I use to be good friends with her too, anyone know her where-abouts now? hey ytou never told me if I know who you are other than Ricky's Wife and Little Ricky's mother.... Hey Luuuuuuuuuuuuuucy.... WaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaRicky... Does little Ricky play drums by any chance?....Babbalou... One of my favorite Lucy episodes is when Little Ricky gets his first drum set and is practing all day playing the exact same beat over and over again and Ricky and Lucy are doing everything in synch to the beat like making breakfast for Ricky, cracking the eggs open to the beat, talking in rhythem to the beat...
OK come tell me who are you...who who who who....?
