Posted - June 18 2003 : 12:48:31 AM I took a trip back to Long Island today during the middle of the day, yes after driving all the way back home from work to New Jersey, I drove all the way back to Long Island...saw my Mom with Andrea and bought her lunch back from Pete's Clam House on Long Beach Road...but I also stopped in to Syosett Ford and surprised Big Arthur !!! Arthur looked great and although I have been speaking to him on email and once or twice on the phone since this web site started I have not seen Arhtur in the Flesh since probably 1972 or 73 some time...so we talked about old times and new times too for a while, he showed my family pictures...and we talked cars and trucks too since I am soon to be in the market for a new car or truck to commute in. It's too bad we all didn't get together last week when Jeffery was here...well maybe next year at our BIG REUNION....and what hapenned to Louie ?

Mr. Fallaballa (does this translate to "Fella with balls"?) He must have also given the Dutch a gift of miniature horses. I went to the Netherlands last month and everywhere were little horses - even in the coffee houses smoking dope.
Lou - you are so GODDAMN FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

As for the pants not fitting....... I would look a little higher up ...........around the waist line where all of us, soon to be half centurians, start to expand.

Cottonmouth,
You confused me at first but I then remembered something about the "Fallabella" horses given to the Kennedy's in about 1962 and the AMHA. Now it all makes sense. Himself ( suffering from the "Irish Curse" ) |

But morning comes and soon the realities of life will shatter his illusions, and the clichés of the world will bring him down. But still he's waiting for a change.

Posted - June 30 2003 : 12:06:45 AM Elena, I know that feeling, I just got back to work after along 3 day weekend up in Rhode Island, what a bummer being back at work ! I saw a Great show though at the Mohigan Sun Casino, Neil Young and Crazy Horse with Lucinda Williams opening for him. Lucinda was incredible as usual, and Neil show cased his new Concept album which was really good, sort of like the Kinks Preservation, theatre mixed with rock n roll ! Bean |

Posted - June 27 2003 : 3:40:31 PM I got back yesterday to Los Angeles at noon. I flew in from Dusseldorf Airport, - a suitcase was left unattended in the area I had to check in, so the police cordoned off the area. People did not have to leave the airport, we could still stay inside. There was a little bar that served coffee, pastries and sandwiches, and the police tape was right up next to it, but there we were, having breakfast, while about 100 feet away they were checking the contents of the suitcase. Didn't find anything, and the plane left only thirty minutes late. On Wednesday, I had flown from Rome to Cologne and spent a few hours there. I walked on the pedestrian path on the bridge over the Rhine to the old part of the city to visit the Cologne Cathedral which blew me away it is so magnificent! Next to it was the Museum Ludwig, and I decided to go in, and there was a room full of little drawings and paintings by one of my favorite artists Paul Klee! There were also paintings by the German Expressionists whom I also love. Art is so much an important part of the lives of Europeans. It is everywhere! From Cologne, I took the train to Dusseldorf and from the train station there to the airport there is a monorail which they call the Sky Train which takes you right into the airport, and I stayed overnight in the hotel - next morning just walked across to the building to catch my flight.
Sandro is in Rome until August. I have to go back to work tomorrow, and I am not in the mood. |
