Introducing Herman's Hermits(March, 1965): I'm Into Something Good, Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, Kansas City Loving, I Wonder, Sea Cruise, Walkin' With Me Angel, Show Me Girl, I Understand, Your Hand In Mine, Mother-In-Law, I Know Why, Thinking Of You

Its hard to imagine Peter Noone singing 'Mother-in-Law', but if Bean says its so I'll believe it.
Aside from the scathing lyric, there is a great bass vocal on the original. That feature is gone from today's music.
Doc, do you sing bass as well as play bass?

There is NOTHING like a mother!

Hermans Hermits covered that song around 1965 on their 2nd album with " Mrs Brown you've got a lovely daughter "

That sounds about right, Doc.
