It should have been Custer's motto.

I have no way of knowing when this illustrious motto was created. I don't know if Custer was even aware of it. My personal perspective is that it exemplifies the best this great Country has to offer, brave men who are willing to serve. It is a motto that Custer would have respected and preserved.
