DC ol' bud, about this time you must be really empathizing with the trapped frontiersmen at Beecher's Island. Surrounded by Chiefs and eating roasted Pony!
Hey, the Chiefs are really Chefs...they are cooking the Pony's playoff chances big time!
LMAO,
Billy

Didn't know you lived in Scotland. Where abouts? I rented a car and drove around Scotland for one week during the summer of 1996. Loved your country and want to visit again someday. |

I'm sure I have NO IDEA what you're talking about, Markland. I spent yesterday fielding phone calls from my New England acquaintances. They have a football team there, I'm told. We had one here, once. Now, shut up and leave me alone....... People in Kansas City think that when they die they go to Green Bay. And their women wear army boots to formal functions in the black pickup. And talk funny.
Mumble........................ |

I would give you my speciality tour, which includes,Culloden,Bannockburn,Prestonpans,Celtic Football ground,St Andrews golf course & many many more. Oops I forgot to mention the smallest distillery in Scotland, near Pitlochry Perthshire. Plus of course free digs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really appreciate the offer. I spent two days in Edinburgh, which wasn't enough. I loved that city, especially the castle. I also visited Bannockburn and Culloden (which reminded me of Custer Battlefield).
Next time I go I plan to visit as many distilleries as possible. I learned the value of a great single-malt scotch and as a result I'm very picky about Scotch. My motto is: "Blended Scotch Sucks!!"

At least you can remind your friends that Denver beat the Fishies, unlike the Patsies.

This ain't funny but it beats crying.
When Johnny Carson got to the Pearly Gates, what do you want to bet that St. Peter didn't yell out to the Lord, "Heeeerrrrrreeesessssss Johnny!"

I found these on the web at the 8th Infantry Division site and thought you all would appreciate them. There is a complete list of the Infantry Journal ones somewhere on the web which I will attempt to relocate.

Handy, those. Regarding LBH:
72. The complexity of a weapon is inversely proportional to the IQ of the weapon's operator.
94. Every command which can be misunderstood, will be.
122. What gets you promoted from one rank, gets you killed in the next rank.
127. Never reinforce failure. Failure reinforces itself.
