Never heard of it. If its on eBay, post a link. I'd probably try and get one...

Even though Ambrose is way off. Should have been Gray, Michno and Fox.

I came. I saw. I took 300 pictures.

To view the cd you need adobe reader 6.0,which you can download free from their site.
The only direct book about the LBH that I have at the moment is John S.Gray's Custer last Campaign which I am reading now.I have sent for a few others now and hope to be able to contribute shortly.
Having Had a quick look at the cd,I can see why people dismiss the Ambrose theory, like the whole company went down MC.

THE BATTLE OF LITTLE BIG HORN BIGHORN ANALYSIS ON CD!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Revisiting the Battle of The Little Big Horn
Naval Thesis by Lieutenant Matthew J. Burns - on CD

"The battle of the Little Big Horn has captured the interest of historians, scholars, and military enthusiasts since the day that over 200 United States soldiers under General George Armstrong Custer's command were decimated by Crazy Horse and 2000 Indian Warriors. Competing theories regarding the details of the battle have arisen, mostly due to the conflicting first-hand accounts.

The purpose of this thesis is twofold. The first purpose is to perform an historical analysis of the Battle of the Little Big Horn, using war gaming. A series of controlled, comparative simulations of battle will be carried out using the Synchronization Matrix, a war-gaming tool obtained from US Army Field Manual (FM) 101-5. This analysis will evaluate three competing theories and interpretations of the battle, with the objective of categorizing the theories by degree of plausibility. The second purpose is to examine the impact of of alternative notional leadership on the outcome of the battle, e.g. what if Custer had not split his force? The result is a confirmation that war-gaming can indeed be used for the study of historical combat, as well as for future planning."

We create our historic and educational CDs from a wide array of Government sources that have been released into the public domain. We have taken care to put all our manuals and handbooks in Adobe Acrobat pdf format. They can be used on Windows and Mac Systems and are are fully searchable. You can print any page or the whole document with ease. Also included is a powerful "read aloud" option, so that you can elect to have any part of the text read aloud to you by an automated voice. This is very helpful for the visually impaired, people with dyslexia, or just freeing you up to move around the room while you listen to the pages being read aloud!
