To Rich and A Warning to Board Members
With no PM or email from me, Warlord has decided to harrass me after I applied my rights to ignore him as given to us by Rich. I've sent an email to Rich about this. It's time Warlord be sent packing.
Please notice Warlord's last sentence to me. Sounds like he is threatening me.
Here is what he sent me:

Your thread on publicly attempting to get other people to ignore me could be discrimination and a violation of civil rights. Rich could be included in this for allowing it. I suggest you be very careful old boy!

This is getting out of hand.
After my recent E-mail to all members regarding the new ignore & security features, I received many comments. This one is typical:
Because of the personal attacks and insults thrown back and forth by the
regulars, at each other, I rarely visit the site.
What a shame. Are we a bunch of adolescents?
Warlord, I do not know you, but I've been running message boards since 1997. Your "threat" to me is a hollow one. I've heard it all before.
Bob, you have been nothing less than a stand-up guy as far as I'm concerned ... publicly & privately. I'm sorry to see a mess like this develop.
You both have great knowledge and a lot to offer to any discussion. A real shame we've deteriorated to this point.
Boys ... I have other concerns in my life. Over the past couple of years, trivial things like the attack on my hometown on September 11, a 6-month life & death struggle my daughter went through in the hospital, and an upcoming divorce have grabbed my attention. This forum is here as a courtesy to those interested in its subject matter. It was meant for enjoyment. I have nothing to gain by its existence, and rarely post here myself because of incidents like this one.
Take it or leave it, is all I can say. I hate to see anyone leave, but I have neither the time nor inclination to constantly have to step between grown men who ought to know better.
What is the point to the name-calling, etc., anyway?

| Rich: Thanks for taking the time to deal with this. In the past you've shared with me the concerns you have going on in your personal life, and my heart continues to go out to you and your family. I've made my complaint regarding Warlord official. If he can't be banned, then I will continue to ignore him. However, if he continues to harass me with PMs or emails, I'll just forward them to you so you can keep a record of it without expecting you to hassle with it. All I ask of you is to keep a record of them. |
