Patriots' Day in Massachusetts. Surrounded by historic buildings, on the original green, a stirring reenactment begins with the arrival of Paul Revere ... the 228th Anniversary of the skirmish on Lexington Green!

Thanks, Rich. Don't want to miss Paul, so I guess I'll have to head down that way Friday evening and spend the night. I did read something about Battle Road - there is supposed to be a large re-enactment there this year.

If all works out well I will post my thoughts after the smoke clears.

Hi South Branch!

You will definitely enjoy the "festivities"!

I don't recall the exact starting time, but it's just before dawn that the militia assembles out there on the Green - oh, that's right after Paul Revere rides by!!!

It takes place right on the old green, right in the center of Lexington, by the Minute Man statue.

As far as parking - I went twice, both times I stayed in a nearby motel & walked on over in the cool darkness - hot thermos of coffee in tow!

List of activities? I would try the Lexington Chambor of Commerce [try a web search] and Minuteman National Historical Park which administers Battle Road & Concord Bridge ... Some years, at least, reenactments take place there as well.

Hope that helps a bit. Why not post your impressions when you get back!?!

Rich, or anyone. I will be going to Lexington to see the activities on the 19th for the first time. What time is the first major event? Where in Lexington is it? Any information on a good place to park? Where can I find a list of activities at Lexington and at Concord on the 19th?

Sorry for all the questions, I will appreciate any responses. I am really looking forward to this Saturday!
