Had to share with you a very funny letter to the editor
from my local paper -- a breath of fresh air amidst all
the clarion calls of "Nuke 'em all and let God sort 'em out"
etc. etc.

"Freedom fries?? Why not call them 'oil fries?' After all,
oil is what they're cooked in, and oil is the reason we're
invading Iraq!"

Sorry Richfed -- you are my snookums forever as ye know well,
but I'm with TGAT Lainey on this one...especially when I hear
the exact same rhetoric coming out of Washington now that
I did 35 years ago. "When will they ever learn?" is the
line that comes to mind.

Ex-Iraqi nuclear scientist Imad Khadduri just dropped a bomb on live C-Span. Talking about Iraq, & fully expected to cheer the US invasion, he became increasingly passionate in his condemnation of the US' "War of terror" against the Iraqi people. He likened it to 9-11 for the Iraqi people &, near tears, asked why the US needed so many bombs?
