Due to the economy Fort No. 4 has been closed recently, fortunately it has reopened.... Their only June event this year looks "interesting", ... we'll see. . http://www.fortat4.com/calendar.php

I hope you're off to this one, MG! Looks like a good one. Unfortunately, it's too far away for our unit to attend. It would be a very long drive for most of our members who live in PA. |

Certainly wanted to WW, - but we ended up having a problem in work, and Saturday I spent 12 hours in there. - The weather "up there" had to be great, 40's at night and a sunny 60's during the day. ... ;) - I'll definitely get up there pretty soon, but hated to miss this event. |

Looks like it was a good one. Lots of soldiers on the field... lovely site. I wish it was closer for my group to attend.
Here is a video of one of the battles... Battle |

Thanks WW, - wish I had gone too. While Charlestown isn't a "tourist trap" by any definition, - the site is located along the Connecticut River, and is a nice spot. Kinda like the fort too, ... ;) |
