Some of you may know about my connection to little Ariel and some may not. In any case, I ran into the Boutette's today at our local Farmers Market. Little Ariel was dancing to a tune a musician was playing on his harmonica. I must admit I didn't even recognize her! Her dad, Garnet came up to me and my son! We had a nice chat and we vowed to stay in touch! Ariel is doing well but of course she requires surgery again..There is one problem though: the specialist who was supposed to do the surgery has now moved to the States and so far the Boutette's haven't found another one yet. Let's hope and pray that they will! Unfortunately it only describes the Alberta Health Care situation too well.:((
Ariel really loves music! I bet she'llplay piano one day really well!
Anyhow, just thought I'd give you guys an update.I tried to post it in her forum but I noticed it was locked!

Oh Bea, thank you so much for this update from little Ariel. It sounds like she is living her life to the fullest. Please let us know of any other news on her.

I just read in our local paper that Ariel is undergoing surgery
today at the U of A Hospital for cranial surgery having to do with her eye sockets. Will phone Lori and Garnet tomorrow to find out how she is doing..

Okay, here is a mini update: According to her mom Lori Ariel is doing just great. The surgery went fine and they returned home one day early. While I was talking to Lori I heard little Ariel banging on some pots and signing that she was hungry to her mommy..:) That sounds real good and once this silly weather improves I will go over and visit them! I'll make sure to bring my camera along.:)
