Democrats were counting their chickens early in projecting a win for challenger Darcy Burner over two-term Republican Dave Reichart. State of Washington 8th Congressional District.

Democratic-leaning King County is notoriously slow in reporting votes, so Ms. Burner may still win. As of 10:30 PM November 6, Reichert is still leading by 5,000 votes 51% to 49%.
