You know Obi, I was going to say the same thing earlier; but then I thought some pinhead/'progressive'/cultural-marxist type would say the old Sarge was 'beyond the pale'. Though said marxist(s) wouldn't even be smart enough to know that phrase is also a slur against those of Irish heritage (whoops I forgot, in their reality white folks of any culture do not count). Then again, these 'coffee-table intellectuals' are renown for not bothering to learn more than what is 'trendy' and in-style (as the current poll numbers show).

As much as I dislike the Clintons, and their associates (like James 'The Snakehead' Carville, Madeline 'Half-Bright' Fulbright, and other assorted non-talented hacks), she still is more conservative than 'The One' and his little band of marxists. Hell, Barrack Obama makes Hillary Clinton look like Ronald Regan (and for today's Democrats, that is quite a feat indeed)

You're 100% right MG, and I even said something along those lines 10 years ago. President Kennedy was strong on defense, a supporter of individual liberty & responsibility, and in favor of lower taxes/less government intervention (he still holds the record on the largest tax cut in U.S. history).
In the U.S today, JFK would be a Republican.
...Conversely (as I noted on another thread), Adolf Hitler was in favor of high taxes (on the 'rich', of course), strict government controls on commerce, 'nanny-state' government programs for individuals, restrictions on individual liberty, property rights & political speech, etc.
In the U.S. today, Adolf Hitler would be a Democrat.

All I have to say is that I hope that we all get out and vote!!! If you think that McCain/Palin is best for our country, please vote for them. If you think that Obama/Biden is best for our country, please vote for them, but we all need to get out and vote.
I have my doubts about both candidates. They both have their pros and cons, but I have to pick one and I will just vote my conscience. That is all I can do, and I refuse to put down anyone on this board for voting who they feel is best for our country!!! PLEASE VOTE!!!

Popping in from the ether to agree with the sentiment that whoever you are voting for, GET OUT AND VOTE! Participation is the key thing. There is nothing worse than somebody who refuses to take advantage of the vote but still insists on complaining nonstop about whoever gets elected!

You are right Obi, but I was drawing comparisions to the domestic policies of the two.
