James Cameron, to the Lieutenant!

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone. - Audrey Hepburn. |

Hawkeye to Duncan under the falls.
No words were needed their expressions said it all...here's another hint (my second to favorite scene in the movie!) |

Could it be the looks exchanged by Uncas and Alice after Magua had sliced him on the cliffside and he knew defeat was at hand.

Actually, it was the kiss. The scene you referenced, my bonnie Irish lass, it my #1 pick. But close enough!
Duncan to Hawkeye at Huron village.
Here's a good one, bet you'll never guess it:

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!" is just slightly suggestive of pain.
Which narrows down the options very little, considering the movie.
But! I'm going to take a wild guess and say either Duncan ablaze on the stake, Colonal Munroe upon finding himself heartless, or some random Huron charging into battle. Yeah, I'm terrible.
"Sorry to disappoint you." |

LOL. It was Duncan, I think Munroe was more like, "Argh, ARRRGGHH!"

We have not inherited the earth from our fathers, we are borrowing it from our children. Treat the earth kindly, and put back whatever it is that you took from the earth. Take only what you need, and waste nothing. Leave the earth better than you found it, and it will be kind to your children and grandchildren.
"Maqua" in Iroquois means "Mohawk"! A funny name for a Mohawk! |

Why do you hate the Gray Hair Magua?
That would be Montcalm to Magua.

No, Irish. Actually Uncas said it to Cora when she was sewing him up in the surgery (from the wound he got who knows where!)
And, Light, good guess!
"Some Food" is said by Uncas to Col. Monroe shortly after their arrival at the fort.

Close enough, Red. Actually it was the lieutenant in General Webb's office talking to Jack Winthrop when he implied that the colonial militia members wouldn't report if they couldn't get Webb's agreement to let them go if their homes were attacked.
But what I'm trying to figure out is who said "uncle." Hmmmm... |

Diane you've got us on this one. I have been searching and I can't recall anyone saying "Uncle". Maybe a different version of LOTM or the book perhaps? |

As Chingachcook, Hawkeye & Uncas are about to enter the Cameron's cabin, Chingachcook says, "Alexandra" and he extends his hand to greet her. Alexandra smiles as she shakes his hand & she calls him "Uncle." |

IG, I think they are mutilating Ongewasgone's name. It took me quite awhile to figure out what his name actually was when I watched the movie. But I love the "Uncle Wiscone" thing. LOL. |

One of the long-standing jokes around here has been that many people made the mistake of thinking they were talking about "Uncle Wiscone" instead of "Ongewascone." For years, I swear, until I found this website in 2000, I thought somebody in the movie had an Uncle Wiscone.
It's sort of like the classic mistake of people thinking Jimi Hendrix was singing "Excuse me while I kiss this guy..."

That's right. It goes way back to the other board. I forget who was responsible for it. But it sounds OK to me! Much like "So you're the one!" by Cora. |
