The Indian Museum contains cooking utensils, baskets, John Quinney’s leggings, photographs, and a few more tangible pieces of the Mohican people’s long history. This illustrated presentation will discuss the collections, and how their display and interpretation have changed since 1930.

Sounds interesting. And only $40? I'd think about going if I had the $$$ to spend a weekend in NY. And if I wasn't already attending a conference in NC that weekend. My conference won't be nearly as educational, I'm afraid, and we certainly won't get to eat roast buffalo and wild rice pudding. Ah, well.

| I don't know where you live in NC, but on the weekend of Mar. 17 there is the Battle of Guilford Courthouse in Greensboro, and a month later, on the weekend of April 21, there is a French and Indian event at Fort Dobbs in Statesville. It might be worth checking these out if they are not too far. |
