Johnny and Orlando are definitely cuties!!! A little young, but cute. As for Alan Rickman, I just don't see the big attraction for him. I mean, he is a good actor. I liked him in "Love, Actually" but you can't compare him to his co-star in that movie. Yes, I am talking about my precious Colin Firth. Well, I have to share him with GG cause she loves him just as much as I do. So y'all can have Alan as long as y'all stay away from Colin. Here's a sexy photo of him. Looks like good mud pit material, doesn't he?

Kaylynn, Johnny is not too young. He is 44 middle-aged for crying out loud. Orlando may be quite younger than that I think.
Colin Firth I like. Loved him in the Bridget Jones movies....so dreamy but got nothing on Alan so we will have our deal okay?.....you can have Colin and I will be quite happy to have Alan Rickman all to myself.....no sharing LLOF. He is so dreamy in Sense & Sensibility Kay. Have you not seen his Colonel Brandon?. You would fall in love with him....sigh like I did. Course I love me some sexy Professor Snape too .
Interesting how you say Johnny is too young at 44 and Colin at 47 is not too young. Love makes us crazy. |

Hmmmm, I didn't know that Johnny Depp is 44. Okay, I changed my mind, he's not too young. I never knew his age, but he just seems so young. Must be the characters that he plays. I guess the thing about Alan Rickman is that he always looks mad or sad, except for in the picture that you posted. He looks kinda sexy there, but don't worry, I still love Colin.

IG, Have you ever seen this interview with Charlie Rose? You probably have, but I figured that I would send it just in case. It's kind of long, but I'm sure that won't bother you. I do remember him from Sense and Sensibility. I remember feeling sorry for him. I also remember him from Die Hard. He plays a very good "bad guy". That is why you like him so much, isn't it? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5126033569737698594&q=alan+rickman&hl=en

All for of the "Die Hard" flick have had some great villains...Alan Rickman (down girl!), William Sadler, Jeremy Irons, & Timothy Olyphant. Peronally, I think the most memorable character was played by William Atherton, as that slimy TV reporter. |

"the slimy tv reporter" he was good and truly deserved that punch he got from Mrs McClane.
I know I also saw the second "Die Hard" but don't recall much about it other than something about an airport I think. Hans made the first one so "memorable"....sigh.

Tryin' hard to get out of this one ain't you Obi I know what you meant alright and if you have the "hots" for my beloved Alan that is perfectly okay with me. That deep sexy voice and those sexy eyes and sexy, kissable mouth (God I love his mouth and those lips , well they would turn even the most "macho" man to "naughty" thoughts about him. |

Don't worry, Obi. I got your play on words right away when I read your reply on Thursday. I don't think anyone really believes you have the hots for any male actor. But, you have to admit, Irish is one quick-witted lady. If you keep playing games with her, you'll eventually lose.

I don't know Winglo, I think that both of them can give as good as they get. Now, if they were actually battling it out in the mud pit, then I think that IG would win hands down.
Love, Kay
PS Obi, I got your Firth/First thing too, and you are right, Firth is first. IG, guess what??? I get to go to Mr. Rickman's house next week. I will tell him that you said hello. Oh, BTW, his name is Craig Rickman. Hey, you never know, he could be related to Akan. |

Hey, Kay, I agree with you. Mr. Firth is a very nice looking man, and talented, too. I've only seen him in a couple of things, but he sure was great in Pride and Prejudice.

Hey, I keep having this thought and want to know if anyone else ever does. I think that if the guys who are members of this board were posting pictures and talking about good looking women the way we are talking about men, some of us would be calling them "chauvinists" and other names I will not mention.
Does anyone else feel a sense of a double-standard here? |

Craig Rickman look anything like Alan Be sure to ask if he is related will ya Too bad I'm not going to the other Mr Rickman's house ...sigh. A girl can always dream
winglo...you know what this thread is called "Pic of the Day" and men or women can post whatever pic they want in here. If, let's say Obi for example started posting pics of Eva Green I would not object. The guys could have their fun as well as us women. Nice for us to have a place to post our "crushes" pics and it is all good clean fun afterall |

No double standard. I feel the same way as IG. The guys are more than welcome to post pics of their favorite actresses and drool over them all they want. In fact, if we check some of the older posts, I am sure that we will probably see a few posts just along those lines. If I am wrong, then now is your chance fellas. Post a photo of your favorite actress and go gaga over her. Just don't let your wives see it. You see, if our husbands see some of the silly things that we post, they would just look at us and shake their head, BUT, if your wife catches you posting something about another woman, well, that's a whole different matter and let's just say, this is where the double standard comes in.

How true Kay. If my husband was posting pics of some actress on here and telling me about how he was "crazy" about her, let's just say I would be feeling "none to pleased" and "worried". My husband however, is well aware of my Alan crush and does not mind in the least. He says I am a much "happier" person when I watch his movies and he even "encourages" it as he can "benefit" from it but there is definitely a double standard. |

Maybe that is why none of the guys are posting anything about their "crushes." They are way too smart to put anything down in writing, cause they know what will happen if their wife sees it.

Totally agreeable with you, IG and Kay. I do wish the guys would start posting some of their crushes like us girls do. But then again, I don't think the guys are up to that challenge. |

I must say that it distresses me to read posts from women willingly maintaining a double standard that they, indeed, recognize. Almost makes me want to ask why we don't give up the right to vote, as well.
But, WW and Obi agree with me, so at least I know I'm not insane. |
