Dear Friends,a little bird told me that acclaimed artist Don Troiani still has several of his Busy Run Prints available. From what I heard, the Fort Pitt Museum was supposed to buy his remaining stock, but due to bureaucratic bungling on the part of the museum, the deal fell throughFor those who have never seen it,the print shows the flanking action of the 42nd Highlanders(BlackWatch)giving "cold steel"to the indians who ambushed them.Mine hangs in my living room with my Griffing Highlander prints, and gets a lot of compliments.Check it out at:www.dontroiani.com

I agree Lieutenant, as a board member of the Ft. Pitt Associates, I was appalled of the failure to complete the transaction. I only can hope that Mr. Troiani will forgive the lack of forsight from the individuals involved.
Your Sergeant, Duncan

You're right about those other people on the boardI'm glad that you're there to keep the straight.Perhaps it can be brought up at a future meeting to purchase at least a few of these fine prints, before the rest of the Mohican board members buy them all up.EM

It is also ashamed due to the fact that 2003 is the 240th anniversary of the Battle of Bushy Run. We could have been ahead of the curve, for once...

I hope that we can persuade Mr.Troiani to do another F&I print. He tells me that there is no interest in it however. He obviously has not seen this site.I hope that heat least allows us to use the Bushy Run print on the jacket sleeve of the third documentary that Director Robert Matzen does on Pontiac's Uprising.EM

At least Griffing is planning on doing another highlander print. I think I dropped enough hints to him about making it another 42nd RHR print. All the others have been the 77th, except for 'Wardance'. I made sure that he knew of the 42nd's role in garrisoning Ft. Pitt (1763-1767), as well as the Muskingum Expedition of 1764. I even slipped him one of our cards (I know, I am shameless).
