Just thought I'd like to say "Greetings" from a new poster on this forum. Also would like to mention that here in the middle Gound, the militia is active at Ft. Boonesborough. The Boonesborough Winter Trade Fair and Militia Muster will be held November 27-28 at the reconstructed fort near Richmond, Ky. About 15 merchants will be set up in the cabins to sell PC items. The Boonesborough Militia meets on the last full weekend of each month (except December). The time frame is 1775-1790 on the Kentucky frontier. Reenactors set up camp inside the fort and interact with fort visitors. Firewood and ice are provided for reenactors, and there are modern restroom facilities in the fort. There are also several inexpensive motels in nearby Winchester or Richmond. Clothing and equipment standards are listed at the Boonesborough Militia Forum which can be accessed at www.frontierfolk.net/mb. The Militia is a family-oriented group; women and children are welcome, as are Native American reenactors.
