Posted - September 24 2006 : 09:42:24 AM Kay, your points are well-taken and I puzzled over this one a bit, as well. But here's my take on it:
I think it could refer to the person who vacillates. In other words, someone who cannot find his opinion or position and stick to it, but wavers back and forth between both sides (or all sides) of the question in indecision, does not learn from or "see" any of the points in question.
What think ye? |

Posted - September 23 2006 : 11:31:27 PM Hmmm...okay....I think I need some help on this one. In my mind, seeing both sides of a question means really seeing.
Or I should say seeing "all" sides of a question, if that's possible. There are so seldom only two sides. One tends to align oneself with the side that is more philosophically comfortable, but you can't decide on that without looking the whole thing over.
Or has four 12-hour days in a retail environment really done that much damage to my brain this week? |
