Posted - June 30 2006 : 11:42:18 PM Well gang, we had another great Gathering, and as always, we had so many generous, big-hearted, and loving people that sent donations for Ariel’s Auction and the raffle. We also had some very generous Gatherers bidding on the donations. Even though our group was smaller this year, we still did great!!!. After all of the donations come in, we will be able to send Ariel’s parents a check for $1000.00. I would like to thank everyone that helped to make this happen. Thanks to all of the donors and bidders!!! A BIG thanks to all of my helpers, my husband Bill, my son Michael, my sisters, Cathy and Karen, and my best friend Kim!!! Jayne… thank you for all of your help and support!!! I appreciate everything that you did to help me out with Ariel’s Auction!!! Steph…… thanks for all of the words of encouragement. It really meant a lot to me since this was my first time trying to raise money for Ariel and her family. Everybody….. thanks again for your undying support for this wonderful cause. I hope that everybody had fun!!!
We also made over $300.00 for the raffle which helped us out alot with Gathering expenses!!! Y'all are the BEST!!!
Love, Kay

Posted - July 04 2006 : 09:52:14 AM Every time I see her, my heart wrenches. What a precious little mite... Thanks, Kay.
Does anyone know... is she receiving any early services, such as Orientation & Mobility (white cane travel), Beginning Braille, and Tactile Sensory Stimulation? I sincerely hope so. It is never too early to help her to get along in this world. |

Posted - July 02 2006 : 6:24:48 PM Oh WW you should have come to the Gathering. Kay had the nicest display of Ariel pictures showing her at different events and doing different things, usual childhood stuff. It was awesome!!! Maybe Kay can post one of those pics, they are precious.
I just tried to upload some of the recent pictures that Jayne had sent to me, but for some reason the operation timed out and they wouldn't upload. I will just send the links and y'all can seee the pictures that way. Here they are; http://www.noeyes.com/images/rich/1.jpg http://www.noeyes.com/images/rich/2.jpg http://www.noeyes.com/images/rich/3.jpg http://www.noeyes.com/images/rich/4.jpg http://www.noeyes.com/images/rich/5.jpg http://www.noeyes.com/images/rich/6.jpg http://www.noeyes.com/images/rich/7.jpg http://www.noeyes.com/images/rich/8.jpg http://www.noeyes.com/images/rich/9.jpg http://www.noeyes.com/images/rich/10.jpg
They are all great pictures, but my favorite one is number 6. I can just imagine the music playing and she is so happy dancing to the music.

Posted - July 02 2006 : 6:08:17 PM Has Kim ever considered a career in sales? haha
As a matter of fact, she used to travel all around to these car races and would sell t-shirts and all kinds of racing stuff, so she has been on the selling side of things before. That is why she was so good at selling raffle tickets. Besides, she loves to talk. That is why we are best friends. She does all the talking and I do all the listening.

Excellent! I'm sure Ariel's family will appreciate this very much. I would love to see an update on how she is doing. Any more cosmetic surgeries? Another photo would be nice, too.
Way to go, Kay!

Posted - July 01 2006 : 6:17:49 PM Kay,
This is wonderful news! Amazing results for such a small group! Congratulations on a successful auction and raffle. You had so much to do with both the auction AND the raffle, and we appreciate all of your hard work and time spent on this. Ariel's family will certainly be happy for the help! Thanks to you and also to your fantastic family members. The Sunday picnic was one of my favorite events this year (SO MUCH FUN), and the auction and raffle helped make it so!
Give yourself a huge pat on the back, Kay!
