Posted - September 18 2005 : 10:15:13 AM Through the years, many folks have queried as to the availability of the book Sons of a Trackless Forest, by Mark A. Baker ... It was released as a limited edition and has long since been sold out.
Well, things are looking up! From Mark:
I am in the long process of converting the Sons manuscript from the private publication format to a mass market format. It is indeed "long" and tedious. I am moving all the parenthetical notes to the end and making everything end notes and in the process of this migration, I am adding more comments within the end notes. I am also thinking of adding another chapter on the hunting profession as a "family affair." Just thinking about it. I hope to submit it to publishers this fall, perhaps in November. I hope to have a contract for the book and see it published in 2006. We will see how it goes. Unlike other new authors in the publishing world, I have a ready-made audience. This should be attractive. Please pass this information on as you see fit for your web page visitors.
I have one of the original hard cover editions, signed, personalized, and including an original water color ... it is excellent. The cover, by the way, was done by our friend H. David Wright.

Posted - October 19 2005 : 10:53:15 PM Sorry, am of the peasant persuasion with accursed shallow pockets. Will have to buy on eBay; none there now, but have registered it as a "favorite" search, actually more of a 12-month bushwack.
Put yours up for sale on eBay, and you'll learn what that means.
'Bye now. Feel need to see my Potawamanie, Winnebago, and Menomonie friends for ablutions against Huron and Iroquois, less Leni-Lenape.
